PRESENTATION

Space Physics starts as an independent area as a result of the first explorations carried out by external space misions. Before the beginning of space research the image of the solar system was a system of bodies moving in an empty space and tied to the Sun by gravity. This idea changed radically due to the discovering of the solar wind (the expanding atmosphere of the Sun), the planetary magnetospheres, and the enormeous dinamic characteristics of the Sun transmited to the interplanetary medium and planets.
